Budapest Spring Festival
Held in April, this even celebrates the arrival with spring with an array of entertainment, activities and special events. Events include concerts across both classical and contemporary artists, as well as other genres such as opera, jazz and dance. The visual arts are also represented, as is the contemporary circus. Dozens of venues take part in the event throughout Budapest, lasting several weeks throughout most of the month of April.
Budapest Christmas Market
These traditional markets are held throughout the country from mid-November until the end of December each year. There are two central markets that are famous and attract hundreds of thousands of visitors including the Christmas Fair Vorosmarty Square and the Christmas Market by Basilica. Each of these offers beautiful handcrafted items, as well as food, beverage and entertainment throughout the festive season.
